Dear RTO family,

I pray and hope that you and your family are well.

Summer has almost run its course and what a season it was.

After a 4-year hiatus, due to the pandemic, our international Church of God family converged in San Antonio, TX during the week of July 25-29 for a week of prayer, praise, celebration and church business. I have attended general assemblies since 1996, but I have to say that this was one of the best. Explosive worship, powerful prayers, outstanding teaching and anointed sermons characterized this assembly. We came back refreshed and motivated to continue God’s work

At the Church of God World Missions Banquet, RTO and Philadelphia Church Chicago received First Place Awards in their category for contributions to world missions.

New Church of God Executive Committee

Dr. Tim Hill was re-elected as the General Overseer/Presiding Bishop for another term. Dr. Raymond Culpepper was re-elected as First Assistant General Overseer. Our Covenant Ministry Team Leader, Dr. J David Stephens was term limited and was not eligible to be re-elected. Bishop Tony Stewart, Lead Pastor of CityLife Church in Tampa – one of the most vibrant and fastest growing churches in USA – was elected as Second Assistant General Overseer. Pastor Tony Stewart is a good friend, and he is also our new Covenant Ministry Team Leader. Dr. David Ramirez was re-elected as Third Assistant Overseer. New to the Executive Committee is Bishop Gary Lewis who was elected as Secretary General. This is a great team of servant leaders for a time like this. Also, a new Council of 18 has been elected, one which is the most diverse in history. Let’s pray for our international leadership.

The Executive Committee re-appointed me as RTO Administrative Bishop for the next four years, 2022-2026. I take this with great responsibility and an even greater sense of humility.

Let’s pray for sister Ana Gaode, wife of Bishop Moise Gaode, our RTO Chairman, as she goes chemotherapy. Let’s also support the whole family in prayer. Jesus is the Miracle Maker. Let’s believe for a healing miracle!

Church Celebrations

Congratulations to Iosua Cofar and his wife, Alexandra. Brother Iosif was ordained as Exhorter/Deacon at Emanuel Romanian Church of God of Portland, OR. May the Lord bless and use them. I deeply appreciate the leadership of Pastor Stefan Petryuc in promoting a new generation of leaders.

Congratulations to Pastor Paul and Dina Moldovan on the 20th Anniversary of Diaspora Romanian Church of God in Vancouver, WA. I also appreciate the ministry of Assistant Pastor Daniel Bela and his wife.

Congratulations to Rev. David and Nicoleta Braescu for his ordination to the next level of ministry.

Dr. Tim Hill’s New Book in Romanian!

For the 100th Anniversary of the Pentecostal Romanian Church, we are translating in Romanian Dr. Hill’s newest book “Furnace Grace”. On behalf of Church of God and RTO we want to give a book to every pastor in attendance free of cost. The whole project costs $4,500.00.

The Pentecostal Church in Romania celebrates 100 years

This year the Pentecostal Church in Romanian celebrates its 100th Anniversary on September 9-11 with special celebrations in Paulis and Arad. The Pentecostal Church in Romania developed from modest beginnings to the largest Pentecostal movement in Europe. Congratulations!

I will travel with Dr. Tim Hill to Arad and Paulis for this event. Prayers are appreciated.

THE 52ND ROMANIAN PENTECOSTAL CONVENTION

After a 2-year hiatus, the Romanian Pentecostal Convention is being organized again in Phoenix by Pastor Cornel Avram and Happy Valley Romanian Pentecostal Church during the Labor Day Weekend, September 2-5.

While at the Convention we will have a RTO Board meeting on Friday, September 2.

I am scheduled to preach on Sunday morning, while Bishop Andrei Balulescu is scheduled for Sunday evening. Let’s pray for the Convention and hosts.
