Ethiopia is a country located in the Horn of Africa (peninsula – the easternmost projection of the African continent).
It is the 13th most populous country in the world. Its total population is 112,759,000 out of which 67,491,000 are Christians.
In Ethiopia the Christian persecution depends on what kind of Christian you are and where you live. In some parts of the country if you are an orthodox, you are totally fine. But the evangelicals and the Pentecostal Protestants are persecuted not only by the state, but by the Orthodox Church as well.
However, the orthodox Christians are persecuted as well, but it happens particularly in the eastern and southeastern regions of the country.
Whoever converts from Islam to Christianity can face significant mistreatment from being denied access to community resources to even lose custody of their children.
Let’s pray for Ethiopia!
