Turkey, officially the Republic of Turkey, is a transcontinental country located mainly on the Anatolian Peninsula in Western Asia, with a smaller portion on the Balkan Peninsula in Southeastern Europe.
Its total population is 83,836,000, out of which only 171,000 inhabitants are Christians. That is due to the persecution level which is very high. The religious nationalism is growing more and more each year and it puts pressure on Christians. The government officials went that far that they even banned foreign Christians to enter the country.
Those who do convert to Christianity usually have to live a double life and hide their conversion. They must take great care in sharing the Gospel with others.
Let us come before the Lord and pray for our brothers and sisters in Turkey.
Thank you,
