Algeria is country where persecution is happing on a daily basis. It is a country where Christians suffer from many constraints, exerted both by the state and the society. There are laws that regulate the worship allowed for non-Muslim religions, conversion and blasphemy are forbidden, aspects that make proselytism and missionary work to be dangerous. A simple conversation about faith, between friends or relatives, can be the basis for accusations of blasphemy. In more conservative rural areas, the danger is even greater. Pray for the Christians who are persecuted by their own families, which is almost always the case with Muslim converts. Let us pray for their protection and that they may love and forgive their persecutors.
