The United Arab Emirates is a country in Western Asia located at the eastern end of the Arabian Peninsula. Its total population is 9.89 million out of which only 13% are Christians.
Nearly all Emirati Arabs are Muslims and most of the Christian population is composed of foreign workers. The Christian churches are not allowed to evangelize the Muslims and Christians have to exercise self-restraint in public. All Christian converts with a Muslim background risk losing inheritance and parental rights, being fired, being forced to marry or placed under pressure to work for “free”.
Let’s pray for missionaries seeking opportunities to evangelize the Muslims and for all our brothers and sisters in Emirates who are worshiping in secret.
